The University of California (UC) – Merced is a public university which started in 2005. The university is located right in the heart of California’s Central Valley. Getting into University of California

The average GPA needed to enter the UC is 3.59. It is difficult to know, but it is estimated that the application readers at UC are intending to increase their average GPA from 3.59 to 3.77. So, if you are trying to secure an admission in UC, try and get 3.77.

The acceptance rate of 2018 was 60.69%, which is pretty low compared to what it was in 2017 (70.0%) and in 2016 (74.0%). This clearly means that it is getting tougher by the day to get into University of California, Merced. Acceptance rate doesn’t only indicate how likely you are to get into the university, but it also gives an understanding about the competition you will be facing by studying there.
