Herman Cain steps up to microphones at the Willard hotel on Monday after a two-day meeting of a dozen black conservatives that he pulled together. Mr. 9-9-9 has come out of the meetings with a catchy name for his group. They are the ABCs — American Black Conservatives.

Former presidential candidate and Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain has joined Fox News.
In a statement, Cain called the move "an opportunity to be one more voice for intelligent thinking in America."
Before the 2012 Republican presidential primary, Cain was a little-known businessman whose only past political experience was a non-competitive run for Senate in Georgia in 2004. With his catch 9-9-9 plan he soared to the top of early polls, only to collapse before the Iowa caucuses amid allegations of sexual harassment and marital infidelity.

If there’s one thing we in the political media have been certain about in this election, it’s that debates matter.
After all, without the Republican primary debates, we would never have had the boomlets of Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich — badly underfinanced candidates who rose to prominence based on their star turns in the debates.
